The new School year has just started and we hope that the Pupils attending our 1st School and others nearby are settling into an exciting first month where they will learn so much thanks to excellent Teachers and support staff.

Sadly, the Summer is ending and Autumn rapidly approach’s with a consequent lack of light mean there is an increased risk for our young and old walking on our local thoroughfares.

The location of our 1st and local Schools are such that we should all be aware of the need for watching how we drive our vehicles on our narrow roads and not only being aware of the maximum speed limit of 30 MPH which as indicated but actually should drive at a safe speed at all times. Sometimes 10 to 15 MPH or much less is the best way to deal with a hazard.

Please remember that everyone’s safety is the responsibility of us all!
