MINUTES - TUESDAY 5th MARCH 2019

 

MARK PARISH COUNCIL

 

A Meeting of Mark Parish Council was held in the Church Hall, Vicarage Lane, Mark on Tuesday, 5th March 2019 at 7.25 p.m.

 

Present:- Councillor N. Van der Bijl (Chairman). Councillors Mrs E. Corkish, Mrs S. Flack, G. Francis, Mrs A. Hanlon, W. Human and Mrs J. Weekes with the Clerk.

 

Apology for absence received from Councillor Mrs J. Horn.

 

48. Declarations of Interest

 

Members had no interests to disclose.

 

49. Minutes

 

The Minutes of the Meeting of the Council held on 8th January 2019 were confirmed and signed by the Chairman as a correct record.

 

50. Planning Portfolio

 

The following planning application was considered

 

003 Demolition of conservatory and erection of extension, Ashview, The Causeway, Mark – Mr & Mrs P. Withers – recommend permission.

 

The Chairman reported that he would include additional information in the parish magazine to make people aware that if they wished to comment on planning applications, they should do so to the District Council. Details of valid and invalid planning reasons would also be included and the information would also be placed on the Council’s web-site.

 

51. Authorisation for Payment

 

The following payments were authorised –

52. Highway Issues

 

It was noted that the public right of way running from Southwick to Yardwall was now available for use following completion of work. The possible formation of a voluntary group to carry out maintenance work to public rights of way in the parish would be considered at the next Meeting.

 

Councillor Francis gave an update on the restoration of the historic finger post signs. A further donation of £300 had been received and it was agreed that a missing third finger on a sign in the Littlemoor area be replaced inscribed “Glastonbury”.

 

The meeting closed at 7.50 p.m.
