MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF MARK PARISH COUNCIL

Tuesday 23rd August 2016

A Special Meeting of Mark Parish Council was held in the Village Hall, Mark on Tuesday, 23rd August 2016 at 7.30 p.m.

 

Present:- Councillors G. Francis (Vice-Chairman in the Chair), Mrs E. Corkish, Mrs S. Flack and W. Human with the Clerk.

 

Apology for absence received from Councillors N. Van der Bijl, Mrs A. Hanlon and Mrs J. Weekes.

 

 

21. Disclosures of Interest

 

Members had no interests to disclose.

 

22. Planning Portfolio

 

The following applications were considered:-

 

026 Prior approval for the change of use of an agricultural building to a dwelling at Dutch Court Farm, Dutch Road, Mark – Mr and Mrs E. May – recommend permission;

027 Erection of extensions and loft conversion, Orchard Batch, Blackford Road, Mark – Mr & Mrs B. Richard – recommend permission;

07/16/010 Retention of change of use and conversion of agricultural building to dwelling, Bramble Farm, Harp Road, Brent Knoll – J. Patch – recommend refusal.

 

The following recommendations made since the last Meeting were confirmed:-

 

018 Erection of steel portal framed building to be used for storage in connection with Mark Sawmills, Blackford Road, Mark – Somerlap Forestry Products Ltd – recommend permission;

019 & 020LB Change of use and conversion of redundant cottage to a holiday let, Upper Southwick Farm, Southwick – Mr and Mrs N. Perry – recommend permission;

022 Change of use of agricultural building to B8 storage with ancillary office use and staff w/c and shower facility, Laurel Farm, Mark Causeway – Mr and Mrs J. Griffin – recommend permission;

024 Removal of specified sections of hedgerow between Northwick Road and Back Lane, Mark – R. Puddy & Son – no observations;

025 Erection of extensions, Toad Hall, Kingsway, Mark – Mr and Mrs M. Bown – recommend permission.

 

23. Finance

 

a) Bank Reconciliation A bank reconciliation for the period 1st April to 30th June 2016 was checked with the original bank statements and signed by the Members who did not sign cheques as part of the Council’s financial controls.

 

b) Authorisation for Payment

 

It was agreed to authorise the following payment-

 

000826   GWB Services                 grass cutting                  £737.00
