Temporary Closure of Pilcorn Street

 

TAKE NOTICE that in pursuance of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the County Council of Somerset propose to make an Order PROHIBITING ALL TRAFFIC from proceeding along Pilcorn Street from the junction with Lascot Hill and Church Street, westwards for a distance of 140 metres.

 

This order will enable Wales & West Utilities to carry out gas mains upgrade works.

 

The Order becomes effective on 29 July 2019 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to last for 15 days.

TAKE NOTICE that in pursuance of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the County Council of Somerset propose to make an Order PROHIBITING ALL TRAFFIC from proceeding along Yarrow Road from the junction with Green Drove, northeastwards for a distance of 190 metres.

 

This order will enable BT Openreach to carry out D Pole project works

 

The Order becomes effective on 28 August 2019 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to last for 3 days (09.30 - 15.30hrs).

This order will enable Kier on behalf of Bristol Water to carry out leak repairs

 

The Order becomes effective on 19 August 2019 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to last for 3 working days (24hrs).

NOTIFICATION FROM  HIGHWAYS ENGLAND

M5 and JUNCTION 22 SLIP ROADS RESURFACING

 

 

Dates

 

The works will take place from 24 July to 29 August 2019.  During this time we will keep the carriageway open, but lane restrictions will be in place. We will need to close J22 slip roads, please see below for list of dates and diversions.

 

Please note: all works will take place overnight Monday to Friday between the hours of 8pm and 6am.  We will suspend works from 23 to 26 August 2019 to accommodate bank holiday traffic.

 

Slip road closure dates:

 

24 & 25 July 2019 - J22 north and southbound exit-slip closure

 

26 July 2019 - J22 northbound entry-slip closure

 

29 & 30 July 2019 - J22 northbound entry-slip closure

 

31 July, 1 & 2 August 2019 - J22 north and southbound exit-slip closure

 

5 August 2019 - J22 northbound entry-slip closure

 

12 August 2019 - J22 northbound entry-slip closure

 

13 August 2019 - J22 northbound exit and entry-slip closure

 

Traffic management and diversion routes

M5 J22 northbound entry-slip closure – traffic will be directed along the A38 and A39 to join the M5 northbound at J23

M5 J22 northbound exit-slip closure – traffic will be directed to leave the M5 at J23 to follow the diversion via the A38 and A39

M5 J22 southbound exit slip closure – traffic will be directed to leave the M5 at J23 to follow the diversion via the A39 and A38
