MARK PARISH COUNCIL
A Special Meeting of Mark Parish Council was held in the Village Hall, Mark on Tuesday, 2nd February 2016 at 7.30 p.m.
Present:- Councillors N. Van der Bijl (Chairman), D. Champion, Mrs S. Flack, G. Francis, Mrs A. Hanlon, W. Human and Mrs J. Weekes with the Clerk.
Apology for absence received from Councillors Mrs E. Corkish.

79. Declarations of Interest
Councillor Francis declared a personal interest in issues relating to National Grid as a shareholder.
80. National Grid
Members considered the current position regarding this matter.
It was agreed to support the initial investigation into a judicial review into the application and to request Sedgemoor District Council to undertake such investigation expeditiously in conjunction with North Somerset Council.
81. Planning Portfolio
It was agreed to confirm the recommendation of permission in respect of planning application 048 – Erection of single storey extensions, Toad Hall, Kingsway, Mark – Mr & Mrs M. Bown.
It was agreed to support an application submitted by Wedmore Playing Field Management Committee for a grant from the RLT 3 developers contribution grant scheme towards the cost of a new sports pavilion which would be considered at the next Cheddar Valley Cluster Group Meeting.
It was also agreed to request A.W. Jenkinson Forest Products to cease using Harp Road as a route to Godwin’s Peat Works at Westhay.
82. Annual Parish Meeting
It was noted that Sue Mountstephens, the Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner, had agreed to be guest speaker at the 2016 Annual Parish Meeting to be held on 8th March 2016.
Arrangements had been made for the main hall to be available from 7.00 p.m. and it was agreed that refreshments be made available for Mrs Mountstephens. Representatives of neighbouring parish councils would also be invited to the meeting. The Agenda for the Parish Council Meeting following the Annual Parish Meeting would also be restricted to urgent items.
