MINUTES OF ANNUAL PARISH MEETING

HELD ON TUESDAY 10th MARCH 2015

 

 

 

 

PARISH OF MARK

 

The 2015 Mark Annual Parish Meeting was held in the Village Hall, Mark on Tuesday, 10th March 2015 at 7.30 p.m.

 

Present:- Councillors N. Van der Bijl (Chairman), Mrs D. Bayliss, Mrs E. Corkish, G. Francis, M. Schollar, Mrs J. Weekes, County Councillor D. Huxtable, the Clerk and 7 members of the public.

 

Apology for absence received from Councillor S. Emary, District Councillor R. Burden and the Police.

 

1. Minutes

 

The Minutes of the 2014 Annual Parish Meeting were confirmed and signed by the Chairman as a correct record.

 

2. Report of the County Councillor

 

The Meeting received a report from County Councillor Huxtable on the work of the County Council during 2014/15, a copy of which is filed with the signed copy of these minutes.

 

3. Wessex Water

 

David Ogborne, Planning Liaison Manager, Wessex Water, gave a presentation on the subject of planning related work within Wessex Water and outlined sewer improvement work at Mark Causeway. Phase 1 planned for May 2015 comprised a new pumping station at the corner of the Causeway and Poplar Lane and a new rising main connection. Phase 2 planned for August 2015 comprised a 500 metres new gravity sewer and new lateral connections. The second phase was likely to involve a temporary road closure. The works would help alleviate problems caused by the existing vacuum system which was prone to failure. Mr Ogborne answered questions raised by those present. The Chairman thanked Mr Ogborne on behalf of the Meeting for his interesting presentation.

 

4. Report of the Chairman

 

Councillor N. Van der Bijl presented a report on the work of the Parish Council during 2014/15, a copy of the which is also appended to the signed copy of these minutes. Councillor Mrs Weekes paid tribute to the work of the Chairman during the past year.

 

6. Questions from the Public

 

No questions were raised by the public

 

The Meeting closed at 8.10 p.m.
