LETTER SENT BY WESSEX WATER TO ALL HOUSEHOLDERS IN MARK

18 August 2015
Dear Customer

Flood alleviation work on Mark Causeway, Dutch Road and Poplar Lane, Mark

We’re carrying out essential improvements to the sewerage network in your area to reduce he risk of flooding during times of intense rainfall.

How will the work affect you?
We will be closing the following roads:

-          DUTCH ROAD   from its junction with Mark Causeway to outside “Linden”             (approx. 100m).
            Road Closure - 28 September to 25 October 2015.

-         MARK CAUSEWAY,  from its junction with Southwick Road for

approximately 600m east to outside “Laurel Farm”.
           Road Closure - 26 October 2015 to 29 February 2016

Official diversion routes stipulated by Somerset County Council will be in place and are shown overleaf. We will however be maintaining vehicular access for residents and businesses. The road closure will be a rolling closure and we will keep the minimum amount of carriageway closed as needed to enable access to driveways where possible. Pedestrian access to properties and through the works will be maintained at all times.

We will also have a lane closure in place to allow safe working:

-        POPLAR LANE    along its full extent.
          Lane Closure - 14 September to 31 October 2015

There may be some noise disruption while we complete the work as quickly as possible. This will include hammering by our piling machine to install manhole foundations on a select few manholes.

What should you do?
You don’t need to do anything. You can continue to use your sewerage services as normal.
