6.   Finance

[a] Balance of Accounts current £10,902.56 & reserve £36,769.28 at 31.7.20

[b] Accounts for Approval for Payment

[c] To approve bank reconciliation at 30.6.2020.


7.   Planning Portfolio

To confirm the following recommendations of permission made since the last Meeting –

017 Demolition of shop and erection of a new shop and access track, Trevenna, Harp Road, Mark – Pophams Saddlery.

021 Change of use of Units 2 & 3 from offices to education with associated car parking, Poolbridge Business Centre, Blackford Road, Mark – Inaura School.

022 Demolition of rear extension and erection of replacement extension, Wayside Cottage, Church Street, Mark – L. Coulson.

  and to consider 027 – Erection of rear extension, 2 Council Houses, The Causeway – L. Edgecombe together with any new planning applications received by the date of the Meeting.


8   Public Areas Portfolio


  • Highway Matters a) highway defects; b) fly-tipping; c) extension of 30 mph speed limit, Blackford Road; d) possible safety improvements/parking issues, Mark First School; e) Temporary road closures, National Grid; f) Fingerpost signs; g) SID/Community Speedwatch.
  • Jubilee Green – replacement of saplings.
  • Public Rights of Way – to consider any issues.
  • Play Area – Somerset Playing Fields Association Field of the Year Presentation Evening – 18th September;
  • Village Hall and Football Pitch Area – to consider any issue including maintenance of goal mouth;
  • Land or Property in which Parish Council has an interest
